Therapeutic horse riding lessons are a form of equine-assisted therapy that can benefit people with various physical, mental, emotional, and social challenges.  Therapeutic horse riding lessons can help build core strength and motor skills. The rhythmic walking  motion of the horse simulated a persons walking gait. Student may experience improvements in muscle strength, flexibility, balanced, coordination, endurance,  sensory registration,  visual/spatial orientation, motor control, rhythm/timing, and physical attentiveness.

When a horse walks or trots the rider may experience vestibular input.

Each time the hoof hits the ground, the riders may experience proprioceptive input.

Riding lesson also  can  enhance self-esteem, confidence, communication, social skills, and emotional well-being.
